Opening an Account and Verification

How do I open an account?

To open an account, please register on our website. The registration of a personal account here, for a corporate account please click here, then follow the instruction, complete the verification and continue to your onboarding.

In which languages is the Opsy app available?

The Opsy application is currently available in English only. We are planning to add more languages in future.

What is the legal age for using an account?

Individuals aged 18 and over as well as legal entities can open an Opsy account after completing registration and verification.

How long does the verification process take?

The verification process takes up to 48 hours upon documents receipt.

How do I provide documents for verification?

For verification, use our Internet Banking System to upload documents. If you have received the request for additional documents from our compliance team, you can provide the necessary documents by replying to this email.

What documentation do I need to open an account?

Identity documents:

For EU and UK citizens you will need a passport or photo ID card.

For other countries you will need two photo identity documents. (E.g. passport, ID, driving license, residency card).

Please note that the copies of both sides of your identity documents should be provided.

As a proof of address the following documents will be accepted:
- Bank statement or credit card statements with your name and address on it.
- Utility bills (electricity, water, gas) with your name and address on it.
- Service bills (telephony, internet) with your name and address on it.
- Voter ID card.
- Residence Permit.
- Insurance policy document with your name and address on it.

Employer issued letter or pay slip indicating your work address and residential address.
Please note that provided proof of address should not be older than three months.

Selfie with uploaded ID or passport:

Please note that you have to hold your identity document in your hand while making a selfie. The document on the photo should be readable and not flipped over.

OPSY reserve the right to request additional documents for your verification where necessary.

How do I open an account in another currency?

our account is multicurrency account. Use the Exchange option in the menu to convert your balance to the desired currency.

What is a certified translated document?

A certified translation is signed and dated by a professional translator with official certification or court oath.

How to top up your account?

Your account can be loaded via SEPA, Wire transfer or local UK bank in GBP. To find instructions in the Opsy cabinet, click on Top Up your account.

How long does it take for funds to reach an account?

SEPA and GBP payments take up to 1 business day, SWIFT payments take up to 3 business days.

What are the costs of a bank wire transfer?

Commission fees are customizable. Click to Tariff&fees in WeOpsy cabinet to find out more about your fees.

Is there any additional cost to collect my money?

No hidden fees.


Where can I see the balance of all my currencies?

Access your currency balances in the Opsy cabinet online on the web, Android or iOS app near your account number.

What do I do if I expect to receive money in a currency I don't have in my Opsy cabinet yet?

Your payment will be returned to the sender bank account. We accept deposit only in EUR (SEPA and SWIFT payments) and GBP.

How many accounts can I have?

Only one account per person is allowed within the Opsy system, but you can keep various currencies in the same account.

Do you offer an escrow service or any kind of buyer protection?

We do not offer escrow services.

What is a multi-currency account?

Opsy Multi-Currency Accounts allow you to hold various currency balances on one account.

What currencies do Opsy accounts support?

Opsy provides payment solutions in EUR, GBP, UAH and Israel shekel.

What is an IBAN?

BAN stands for International Bank Account Number, used in UK and EU countries and others.

How do you find your IBAN?

Your IBAN can be found in your Opsy cabinet.

I posted a request for an exchange, but it has not been processed yet. Why?

Ensure you have sufficient funds, and if issues persist, contact Customer Support.

Where can I check Opsy's exchange rates?

Opsy exchange rates are updated every 5 minutes in the Opsy cabinet > Exchange services tab.

Is there any interest rate on Opsy accounts?

No, Opsy accounts do not accrue interest.

Are there any maximum balance limits?

There are no maximum balance limits for Opsy accounts.

Is there a minimum opening balance for an account?

No, there is no minimum opening balance.

How do I know that my recipient has received the money?

Check the status of your transfer online or using the mobile application.

How do I change my personal and contact information?

Send, Exchange and Withdrawal

How can I send a bank wire transfer?

Fill out a form in the Opsy cabinet> Payments: To Bank.

How much money can I send?

There are no limits for Bank payments. Card payments has differnet limits for different currencies, please check your limit in Opsy cabinet>Payments>To card.

What is SEPA payment?

SEPA stands for Single Euro Payments Area and is used for EUR payments.

How long does it take to send money?

Opsy offers fast transfers, typically taking few minutes.

I incorrectly stated something in the payment details, what do I do?

Contact Customer Support for assistance as soon as you identified the error.

How to exchange currencies on my Opsy account?

Register an account, get verified, load your account with the funds and use the Exchange service tab to exchange currencies.

Why are some exchanges not processed immediately?

Some exchanges are processed manually, so wait for the operation manager to complete them.


How can I reset a forgotten password?

You may reset password via Password reset feature on your account.
Please find it in settins and fill in your current email.
Cofirmation will be sent to your current email.

Who should I contact if I suspect that I am being dragged into a fraudulent scheme?

If you belive that you might be falling a victim to a con, scam, or fraud scheme conntact fraud@weopsy.com and immeditly report all details.

How do I protect myself from being a fraud victim?

How does Opsy protect my accounts?

We are usign several ways to protect you account.

In our apps we use biomtric login to identify that this is realy you.
In our web app we use 2-factor audentification for all critical actions, like login, changing of the password or withdrawal of money.

What are 2FA methods of authentication?

There are three 2FA (2-factor audentification) methods:
Using Authenticatior app,
Using SMS, which you recive on registered number,
Usign code from email, which you used for creating an account.

Is Opsy responsible if I transfer money to the wrong person or account?

No, Opsy is not reposible. Please contact the reciver to retrieve your funds.
